Tourists come by thousands to see the places of archeological excavations in Al Ghusals, Al Sufooh and Jumeirah. Back in 1959 there was discovered an ancient city here, with a souq, stone houses and a graveyard. The presumable age of this archeological site is about 2,000 years. Those sites are the only well-preserved settlements of the early Islamic era and therefore represent a great historical and cultural value.
